LuaTesser provides a Lua interface to the Tesseract OCR engine which was open-sourced by HP and UNLV in 2005. The Tesseract OCR engine was one of the top 3 engines in the 1995 UNLV Accuracy test.

Windows binaries are provided, along with source which should be compilable under Linux.
